The WiiD Mod (short for Wii Drive Modchip), is a Drivechip for the Wii console. It's major function is to allow the Wii console to boot Wii and Gamecube games from writable DVD Media.

History
The WiiD Mod takes it's quick solder design from early versions of the Wiikey modchip for Wii. Despite the similar PCB design the actual code on the chip is independently developed.
