Installation
Follow the Gamecube disassembly Instructions to take apart you Gamecube first.
Next take a look at the two pictures below to make sure you’re installing the QOOB on the right version of your mainboard. Simply follow the diagrams below to solder the chip in, install the lid switch cable, run the flexwire, mount the USB adapter and then reassemble your Game Cube.
When soldering the 5v wire for the Qoob Pro the gold soldering point might not accept solder without cleaning it first. First put some solder on the end of your iron then try to stick it to the point, but if after 2 seconds it wont stick remove the iron. Next clean the point using some sandpaper or a SOS pad (virgin pad w/o chemicals). Use a small brush or Q-Tip and apply some alcohol to the point. Next apply some flux to the point and then apply the solder. Make sure to only leave the iron on the point for no more then 3 seconds otherwise you risk heating up the board to the point where the resistor above the 5v pad will come off.
Next you will need to locate the LID Switch Cable
Remove the LID Switch Cable and attack the wires
Insert the flat flexcable
Attach the USB connector board with adhesive tape.
FLASHING
Flashing your Qoob Pro chip is easy. You can either flash the chip before you install it (no GameCube required) or after you install it.
The program is pretty much self explanatory. Simply connect to the Qoob Pro chip and you can pick which slot to write, read and/or erase.
NOTE: Applications and BIOS can span multi-blocks!
NOTE: You may flash the Qoob Pro BIOS before detaching it from the USB board.
